The Passport is the travel document that allows Angolan citizens to leave or enter any Angolan border post and foreign countries, and is sufficient to prove their identity to foreign authorities
Requirements for obtaining an Ordinary Passport
In addition to the items mentioned in numbers 1, 2, 3 and 5, you can submit one (only one) of the following documents:

Note: In addition to the aforementioned documents, the application for an ordinary passport for a minor under eighteen years of age or incapacitated adult must also include a statement of responsibility from the person exercising the power of legal representative with the signature notarized and a photocopy of the respective valid identity card. The requirement for students to present a statement from their service or school does not apply to citizens who work from home.
What should I do if my passport is lost, misplaced or stolen?
In addition to the documents required to obtain a passport, the person concerned must present proof of the police notification.
The TRAVEL DOCUMENT is the international identification document used by nationals to return to the territory of the Republic of Angola in the absence of a passport due to its loss, misplacement, theft, destruction or non-existence.
The TRAVEL DOCUMENT is valid for a single trip and can be used within 30 days of its issue.
Who can apply?
All Angolan citizens wishing to travel to Angola who do not have their passport because it has been lost, misplaced, destroyed, stolen or some other circumstance for which they do not have their passport.
The presence of the person wishing to apply for the laissez-passer is mandatory, including minors, regardless of their age.

With the aim of simplifying and speeding up the process of obtaining tourist visas, citizens of 98 countries are exempt from visa requirements to enter Angola.
According to Presidential Decree no. 189/23, published in the Diário da República, citizens of beneficiary countries can enjoy exemption from tourist visas and can stay for up to 30 days per entry and up to 90 days per year.
However, this exemption does not exempt them from complying with other formalities, such as presenting a passport valid for more than six months and, where necessary, an international vaccination certificate.
The regime laid down in the Presidential Decree applies exclusively to tourist visas.
